We are looking for someone who is detailoriented, with the ability to create procedurethat measure our financial performance. It will be a “creative” role with project management skills involved. Its going to be fun! 


As finance officer, you will be supporting the finance and accounting teams. You will also be reporting to a manager. Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Experience with XERO
  • Prompt and accurate balancing and posting of all receipts within the financial system/s
  • Timely and accurate processing of all invoices, expense claims and payments
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Act as the first point of contact for financial and accounting matter
  • Assist with financial planning and analysis projects
  • Constantly review processes and procedures. Identify, recommend and implement improvements
  • Prepare endofmonth reports
  • Reconcile monthly statements
  • Follow up outstanding payments, via email and phone calls
  • Assist in the development of overall budget
  • Assist in the preparation of company taxes, BAS statement and end of financial statement
  • Support the Finance Manager and executives with projects and tasks when required

Academic Qualifications

You must have a degree in accounting or finance, as well as at least two years of work experience. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of accounting standards and processes. You must also demonstrate the ability to manage computerised accounting systems with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Criteria

  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of accounting standards and processes, including reconciliation and reporting
  • Knowledge of financial administration operations and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate financial records
  • Ability to manage computerised accounting systems with high attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Intermediate Excel skills, Vlookup and pivot table are a must
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a drive to always meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly developed people management and teamwork skills with demonstrated experience in dealing with diverse groups of people. This includes employees, customers and suppliers.
